I'm feeling considerably better this morning. Was it the good sleep or the walk last night? I'm not totally over this cold and and hoping I won't have another relapse. By the way, did you feed my fish? They're hungry little devils. Just point you curser in the pond and click some food out for them. They love visitors and really like to follow your curser. If you have a munchy attack why not come and feed the fish instead?
Today I went out looking for those yummy looking Vita Muffin Tops that I saw advertised on an online site but can't find any. Since I'm in the States at the moment, I thought I be able to find them here. I've been reading some posts on a Canadian site that the "girls" are ordering them so I thought they might not be available in Canada. You can buy just about anything down here...........except of course, Muffin Tops. Maybe this is a good thing because I heard they are really really really good. Maybe I should stop looking and leave this one alone.
I love it when that happens............when I start typing whatever pops into my mind. I find that I talk myself through things I've been thinking about and what ends up on the paper is generally the best solution.........I'm my own therapist! LOL So forget the Muffin Tops. Besides, a muffin top isn't the nicest thing to have hanging over your waistband is it? That is a very good visual for me now. Whenever I see the Muffin Top ad or here the girls talking about them I will think about a muffin top waistline and be turned off.
I'm going to get and apple now.

Random Acts Of Kindness Week

“Do something for somebody every day for which you do not get paid.”~ Albert Schweitzer
What have you done lately? I think one of my most enjoyable Random Acts of Kindness was to plant some daffodil bulbs beside a particularly unattractive spot along a road I used to travel on my way home to our house on Elk Lake. Each spring, I'd smile as I drove past those lovely nodding yellow trumpets knowing I'd brightened a spot for everyone who passed by. I could hear in my mind such things like "I wonder how they got THERE" or "Isn't nature grand" . Until now, I've never told a soul.........
Speaking of daffodils, a few years later the owners of a property along the same stretch of road planted what I'd guess to be 300 - 500 bulbs out on the boullevard after labourously digging over hard virgin ground and covering it with a thick blanket of leaf mulch. I often wonder if they got the idea from that original small patch I'd planted............ I was so overcome with joy everytime I saw their daffodil planting that I reproduced the wonderful poem by William Wordsworth that I had loved in school and secretly and annonymosly left in their mailbox thanking them for the joy they had brought to my day.
"Daffodils" (1804)
I WANDER'D lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced;
The waves beside them danced;
But they out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
In such a jocund company:
I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Faceoff............Woman against bathroom scale!
Superbowl is over and I'm still feeling a bit woozy from all the "healthy" Terra exotic vegetable chips I managed to down yesterday. Was that a first down? I don't even have an excuse; I didn't watch the game, instead I cozied up on the sofa and watched chick flicks and somehow the chips disappeared.............
This morning I causiously approached that ever watching glass topped piece of metal that sits, low on it's haunches waiting to spring to life the moment I dare to step forward. I hung my foot hung over my nemesis; all I need do is give it a quick tap and it would awaken and I'd be committed to step up and ease myself as lightly as possible upon the platform of doom.
Head hung low, I entered the Tomb of Undoing, commonly known as the kitchen. What would be the best plan of action now that the game is over?
End of game score: Nemesis 31 Me 17. THERE WILL BE A REMATCH! Bootcamp is waiting......................

Getting My Feet Wet
As the title suggests; I'm jumping in and getting my feet wet, so to speak, in an adventure at blogging. Funny thing, today I really did get my feet wet when I had to rewash two patio furniture cushions I washed yesterday. For some reason these two dried with water mark lines. This time I unzipped the cushion cover and let them drain zipper side down.............but what do you care about such things?
